Redfall is an Xbox exclusive, coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles, Xbox Game Pass, and PC when it launches on May 2, 2023. The game has already been subject to delays, and many are wondering if there will eventually be a Redfall PS5 or PS4 release date. So, is it coming to Sony’s consoles?
Is Redfall coming to PS5 or PS4?
Redfall will not launch on PS5 or PS4. Microsoft owns Bethesda, so it has the final decision about availability. While this doesn’t exclude the game from coming to PS5 or PS4 in the future, the decision is wholly in the hands of Microsoft. If Microsoft allows Redfall to launch on other platforms, we don’t expect this will happen for a long time after its launch (if at all).
We also won’t see it on Switch at launch, likely because the Switch’s hardware would struggle with a game designed for the latest-generation consoles.
Microsoft initially slated Redfall for release in 2023 alongside Starfield. Unfortunately, it delayed both games into 2023. While Redfall’s release date is set for May 2 (barring further delays), Starfield’s is still unclear. The new release dates should be soon, but apparently, development is in rough shape.
Redfall’s co-op vampire gameplay is highly anticipated, but the requirement for always online play has many concerned about the game’s longevity.
