Alisabeth Mitchell

Alisabeth Mitchell joined the News 4-Fox 11 team as a multimedia journalist in June 2023.

Born and raised in Sparks Nevada, Alisabeth attended the University of Nevada, Reno Reynolds School of Journalism where she earned her B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in News, Broadcasting, and Documentary and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She interned her senior year of college as an Associate Producer with the News 4-Fox 11 before being hired for her current position. Alisabeth was mentored by veteran anchors and reporters which lead her to her role today.

Alisabeth found her passion for journalism after working on her high school’s weekly broadcast as an anchor and watching Amy Gutierrez, the former San Francisco sideline reporter, growing up. She is excited to connect with the community and explore her hometown in a new way.

When she is not reporting, you can find her spending time with her two younger sisters and parents and following her favorite sports teams! She is passionate about playing cornhole, enjoying the outdoors on her quad, and snowboarding on the gorgeous Sierra Nevada mountains.
