Andrea Esparza

Andrea joined the News 4-Fox 11 team as a Multimedia Journalist in June 2021.

Born and raised in the Salinas Valley, Andrea has a deep connection with the Latino community.

She majored in both Broadcast Journalism and Chicano Studies at California State University Northridge. Andrea was the lead anchor at her university’s news station, Valley View News. She also reported on stories about social justice issues and child exploitation. Andrea integrates both her passion for journalism and her Mexican culture into her work.

Andrea is fluent in Spanish and hopes to connect with the Reno Latino community.

You can always catch Andrea laughing or smiling. When she is not reporting, she spends her time watching horror films or traveling to California to visit her family.
