What are open primaries and ranked choice voting? We ran a mock election with fruit at News 4 and Fox 11 to see how the electoral reforms would work in practice. It comes as Nevada voters will consider Question 3, which would establish open primaries and ranked choice voting, in the 2024 election.

News 4-Fox 11 is also proud to announce we will be hosting a televised debate next month on Question 3, the ballot measure that would change Nevada's constitution to institute open primaries and ranked choice voting.

The debate, which will be moderated by political reporter and Ballot Battleground: Nevada host Ben Margiott, aims to educate and inform voters about the possible benefits and pitfalls of the controversial initiative.

Representatives for both campaigns will participate in a half-hour debate, which will air on Oct. 15 at 4:30 p.m. on KRNV News 4 and be simulcast on our sister station KRXI Fox 11.
