Haze has been visible across parts of northern Nevada for several days.

Washoe County's Air Quality Management District said a mix of smoke from fires in Russia and China plus a mix of dust from the Gobi Desert can be blamed for the haze. The mixture is causing ozone and particulate pollution in Washoe County to be in the moderate air quality range.

Washoe County AQMD said residents can expect moderate air quality to persistent throughout Wednesday and into Thursday. If you are usually sensitive to ozone or particulate pollution, you should consider reducing your activity level and shorten time outdoors.
