Judge Steven Hippler has ruled to keep the death penalty on the table in the case of Bryan Kohberger.

The defense team for Bryan Kohberger have filed an uncommon motion with the court, one that could upend this case before it goes to trial.

Bryan Kohberger was in court Thursday morning for a hearing over whether or not the death penalty will remain an option in this case moving forward.

Bryan Kohberger's change of venue motion has been granted by Judge John Judge.

The trial is set for June 2025 and Kohberger's defense team has asked that the trial be moved to Boise or another large city.
