RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — One person is in custody after a deadly stabbing in downtown Reno Thursday morning.
Dispatch received a call about a stabbing on the Believe Plaza just before 10 a.m. on Nov. 14. One man was stabbed and he was taken to the hospital for treatment where he later died.
Police say they believe this is an isolated incident.
The suspect in the stabbing, 50-year-old Sedrick Romero, fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. Romero was located and arrested for open murder about an hour later.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
An investigation is underway.
