Two months after33-year-old Nilzuly Arneaud Petit of Texas was kidnapped and killed, three suspected membersof a Venezuelan street gang were arrested while a fourth suspect remains at large.

The gang, Tren de Aragua, has been making headlines for months, linked to a police beating in New York City and an apartment complex takeover in Aurora, Colorado.

Former top border officials are warning of the gang’s rapid organization on U.S. soil.

That’s what makes TDA more shockingly terrifying and it makes it harder for law enforcement because they are so organized right out of the gate. We’re playing catch up already," saidMark Morgan, Former Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Vice President Kamala Harris vowed to crack down on illegal border crossers during a September 27 speech near the southern border.

“Those who cross our border unlawfully will be apprehended and removed and barred from re-entering for five years," she said.

Former President Donald Trump has mademigrant crime a centerpiece of his campaign.

On Sunday, Trump said, "They got together in prison the worst prison in the world they say is called Tren de Aragua. And that is taking over apartment complexes and unleashing a violent killing spree all over America."

He and others have pointed a finger at a parole program that allows* migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela to apply using a mobile app and be allowed into the country, but concerns mount about the ability to be vetted

The Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General investigated asylum seeker vetting and detailed the findings in a June report, concluding "CBP is unable to conduct complete screening and vetting of all noncitizen travelers at air and land ports of entry."

NBC News reports"DHS is seeking more than 600 migrants for possible ties to Venezuelan gang. So far 100 have been identified as gang members. The rest remain under investigation and could later be found to be victims, witnesses or members of the gang."

According to the Department of Homeland Security, "All individuals confirmed or suspected to be gang members are referred for criminal prosecution or detained and placed into expedited removal.”
