As the 2024-2025 ski and snowboard season approaches, residents and visitors to the Heavenly neighborhood are reminded of the existing parking restrictions. Only residents with permits may park in designated residential parking areas, and permits must be clearly displayed, officials said. Parking enforcement will be actively implemented throughout the ski season.
Additionally, parking along Ski Run Boulevard, Keller Road, and Saddle Road is no longer allowed. Alternative parking options include the Bellamy Parking Garage in the Heavenly Shopping Village or the Heavenly Resort parking lots on the Nevada side when California-side lots are full. Heavenly Resort has also published additional parking and transit options for the public.
During snowplow operations, on-street parking is prohibited throughout the entire city, including residential parking permit zones. This not only impedes snowplow operations, but vehicles are subject to a citation and may be towed, officials said.
The City of South Lake Tahoe appreciates the cooperation of residents and visitors.
