Shelby Sheehan

Anchor

News 4 evening anchor Shelby Sheehan has been reporting the news in northern Nevada since 1998.

Shelby joined the News 4 team as a general assignment reporter in 1998 and was promoted to the morning anchor position that she held for 5 years before anchoring the evenings with Joe Hart. The two have been a team since 2004.

Shelby is passionate about children and their well-being. She has focused much of her reporting on stories that impact education, health, and families. Shelby has been recognized by the Alliance for Victims Rights, Nevada Association of School Boards, Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation -- among other groups -- for her work to make northern Nevada a safer, healthier place to live. Every month, Shelby visits local schools to award a student and teacher with News 4's Class Act and Excellence in Education Awards.

When she's not at work, Shelby spends most of her time with her husband, fellow News 4 anchor Bill Frankmore. They have three sons: Ryan , Jack, and Luke, who keep them on their toes! She loves to hike, ski, run, and watch her sons play sports.

Shelby grew up in Los Altos California, a suburb about 45 minutes south of San Francisco and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where she earned her degree in broadcast journalism.

If you have a story idea for Shelby -- or a nomination for a Class Act or Excellence in Education award -- email her or reach out on Facebook.
