SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A man was arrested on multiple charges after a police pursuit in Sparks that began late Tuesday night.
Authorities say the incident began when a Sparks Police Department officer observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the area of Rock Blvd. and Victorian Ave. shortly before midnight on Nov. 19. As the officer turned around on the vehicle, he observed it run a red light and conduct other traffic violations which endangered the public.
Multiple attempts to stop the reckless behavior were made, but were unsuccessful as the driver fled from officers. The driver, later identified as Junior Tuamoheloa, fled from officers striking multiple Sparks Police and unoccupied citizen vehicles in the process.
Authorities say the reckless and dangerous driving continued until the vehicle crashed into a wall in the area of McCarran Blvd. and Glendale Ave.
Tuamoheloa was taken into custody without further incident following the crash. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
No one was injured during the incident.
