Latest Winter Storm is exiting, but leaving strong winds behind

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & fox 11) — WIND ADVISORY for Mineral and Lyon Counties

The latest winter storm to roll through our region has moved east, but has now left behind a windy afternoon much colder air.

Mineral and southern Lyon County have a Wind Advisory in effect until 10 pm Monday night. Winds will be on the increase through the day before subsiding later tonight.

Winds will be out of the Northwest at a modest 15-25 mph, but have gusts up to 50 mph. Gusts could be as high as 60 mph along Highway 95 near Hawthorne. High profile vehicles could be affected.

Please use caution if travelling through the day today.
