Reno, NV (News 4 & Fox 11) — The wind arrives Friday ahead of a weak storm set to bring a few inches of snow to the Tahoe Basin.
Wind Advisory is in place for the Greater Reno-Carson Area, Greater Lake Tahoe Area and through Alpine-Mono Counties.
Squaw Valley saw sustained winds above 74 mph between 10:30 am - 12 pm which is the equivalent to a being impacted by a Category 1 Hurricane.
In terms of snow this storm brought a few light showers to the western Sierra but no significant snow was reported. Our next chance for decent snow in Tahoe arrives late Sunday into Monday December 17th, 2018.
