The release date for Immortals of Aveum from publisher Electronic Arts has apparently been revealed by the reliable billbil-kun on Twitter. The game is an upcoming single-player magic shooter by developer Ascendent Studios. While the source is confident that Immortals of Aveum will release on July 20, 2023, we’re going to chalk this up as a rumor for now, given that this is merely three months away and there hasn’t been much marketing for the game yet.
Immortals of Aveum gameplay could be revealed soon
The main reason we’re hesitant on the July 20 release date is because we haven’t even seen gameplay footage for Immortals of Aveum yet. It could be that this July date is for an open beta of some kind if it has multiplayer components. Ascendant Studios did post a tweet on April 7 saying that “the wait is almost over” for more information on the game, so we could see gameplay very soon.
For now, we have very little information on Immortals of Aveum, and the official website for the game doesn’t share many details. This magical shooter is from the creators of Dead Space and Call of Duty. As “an original fantasy game engulfed in magic, on the verge of oblivion,” the game will feature a “visceral, cinematic campaign.” It is currently slated for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
The one-minute official teaser trailer shown at the 2022 Game Awards reveals that the game will be published under the EA Originals brand, like Wild Hearts before it. The Immortals are champion protectors of Lucium, though it sounds like the world of Aveum is falling apart. The tail end of the trailer shows scenes with the player entering a war with towering giants and plenty of magical projectiles being flung around.
Rumors of a Dead Space 2 remake by Electronic Arts has been sparked by an easter egg.
